Wind farm developer Ørsted has chosen Atos, an information technology consultancy, to supply a professional mobile radio system based on terrestrial trunked radio, marine and aviation tracking, communication systems, microwave link, network management, and a voice dispatching system for two of its offshore windfarms based off the coast of Changhua, Taiwan.

The contract agreement between the two companies will encompass all current and future wind farm projects in the Asia-Pacific region. The agreement will mirror a similar framework contract signed by Atos and Ørsted in December 2017 for European windfarm developments.

Atos will be responsible for the whole value chain including engineering, design, testing and commissioning, as well as providing five-year maintenance support.
